Flang Your Doodle.
Seventeen tracks of pure conceptual magic. This marvellous collection
of musical noodlings
loosely explores the Viking influence on the Scottish Outer Hebrides.
Set
like diamonds in the rough, one or two tracks, such as 'I don't
Like Sheep', (a sentiment many wiill sympathise with), 'Bee
without a Bumble', 'Sunrise on the Smuir' and others, stray from
the concept slightly, thus rescuing the listener from
boredom with
the theme.
Recorded in
Knock Studios between October 1993, Easter 1994 and Summer 1994.
This tape saw the band exploring the use of acoustic folk instruments
such as tin whistles and fiddles to complement the celtic feel
of the
album.
Cover Artwork was again created by Jason (clever
fellow), and was incorporated into the final cover by Jane with
the aid of computer products supplied by a well known manufacturer.
As with the previous two early albums, the original recordings
are just too poor to digitise, but remakes some tracks can be found
on the 2005 album Re Dun
